José Manuel Aparicio

José Manuel Aparicio is the consulting editor for the publishing agent, Rúbric. As a writer he was a finalist in the 5th Canal Literatura Short Narrative Competition with "El desierto" (The Desert); the 2nd Hislibris Competition for Historical Novels with "El mal de Fortún Sánchez" (Sánchez's misfortune) and the 11th Miguel Artigas Literature Competition with "El Pueblo" (The Village). As a novelist he is passionate about history. "Banderizos" (Roca Editorial, 2015), won the 4th International Historical Novel Competition held in Úbeda and was a finalist in the 3rd Edhasa Prize for Historical Fiction with "Bellum Cantabricum" (The Cantabrian Wars). In his personal life he loves people with a sense of humour, football, listening more than talking, and getting lost with his wife inside museums, archaeological sites and castles.
