After three years of work starting in December 2013, several covers, dozens of pages published in magazine and a World Press photo, the photographer Carlos Spottorno and the reporter Guillermo Abril propose to give a different narrative form to the 25,000 photos and 15 notebooks they have accumulated, in order to recount what happens at the borders of the European Union. In the pages "La grieta" various stories take shape, including an encounter with Sub-Saharan groups, the rescue of a dinghy near the Libyan coast, the exodus of refugees from the Balkans, NATO tanks across from Belarus, and Finnish recruits find their limits in the Arctic forests, while Afghan and Cameroonian refuges arrive from Russian in the middle of winter, suitcase in hand... "La grieta" is the field journal of two reporters who covers border from Africa to the Arctic.
