Two years have already passed since Augusto Salas and Carmen Reverte uncovered a series of child murders committed in a prestigious school. Now, retired from the police force, they run a successful detective agency. Their lives are fairly peaceful until a professor from the University of Granada arrives at their office with a strange job: solve the murder of a famous academic from the psychology faculty. Salas and Reverte will have to travel to the city of Granada and penetrate the complex and, in some ways, murky world of the university to investigate what appears to be a strange cold case. They will soon realise that their enquiries have made someone who wants Blatt's death to remain a mystery extremely nervous, and that this person won't hesitate to kill in order to achieve this goal.
