Antonio López Ortega

Antonio López Ortega (1957) is one of most important Venezuelan fiction writers of recent past decades. His mirco-fictional work is collected in the books Larvarios (1978), Naturalezas menores (1991) y Lunar (1996). Ha incursionado en la literatura epistolar y el diario literario con Cartas de relación (1982), Calendario (1985), and Diario de sombra (2017). He has ventured into epistolary literature with Cartas de relación (1982), Calendario (1985), and Diario de sombra (2017), His novel Ajena (2001) is an in-depth look of feminine subjectivity, achieving an unforgettable portrait of a young Caracan woman who falls in love. His short narrative, which has been widely acclaimed, comprises titles like Fractura y otros relatos (2006), Indio desnudo (2008), and La sombra inmóvil (2013). As an essayist he has published El camino de la alteridad (1995) and Discurso del subsuelo (2002).
