SYNOPSIS

In the year 568, Hispania, practically forgotten by the Roman empire and inhabited by several warring and weakened tribes, is a dangerous land ruled by battle and chaos. But Leovigildo, of the invading Visigoths, has a dream: a strong and united kingdom, with a single king and a single law that governs over everybody with equality. A peaceful kingdom for his children, Hermenegildo and Recaredo: Hispania. Only Valtario, a relentless and mortal warrior, shares in the dream of the king; he is surrounded by plots, treachery and revolt, even from his own wife, Gosvinta, as cruel as she is clever, who has her own plans. Hispania is living through dark and turbulent times, caught between the Christian god and the ancient Gothic deity, the furious god who inhabits the sword.
