SYNOPSIS

The story takes place in Cañada Real, the largest shanty town in the whole of Europe. The nucleus of this marginalised community is the setting that transforms the harsh reality of thousands of people into literature through the sweet, innocent perspective of childhood. An essential novel, audacious and committed to those excluded from society, that gives a voice to the children living on the margins, bringing to light a problem that has been entrenched over the years: that of finding homes for families displaced by partial slum clearance. The story includes a metaphorical interpretation of life as performing circus tricks, playing with risk and danger, extending this to the world of adults in which the most vulnerable struggle for survival.
