Jordi Soler

Jordi Soler was born in La Portuguesa, a community of Catalan republicans in the jungles of Veracruz, Mexico. He is the author of over a dozen works, a number of them translated into several languages, among the most outstanding of which are: Bocafloja (Blabbermouth, Grijalbo-México, 1988; Punto de Lectura (Reading Point, 2003), Nueve Aquitania (New Aquitaine, Alfaguara, 1999), La mujer que tiene los pies feos (The Woman with Ugly Feet, Prix Littéraire des Jeunes Europées 2011) and Restos humanos (Human Remains, Penguin Random House, 2013). He has just published his latest novel, entitled Ese principe fui yo (I Was That Prince, Alfaguara, 2015). He regularly contributes to newspapers and magazines both in Spain and Mexico (La Jornada, Reforma, El País, Letras Libres and EP Semanal).
