Román Gubern

Román Gubern (Barcelona, 1934) has worked as a researcher at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and taught History of Cinema at the University of Southern California, the California Institute of Technology, the Venice International University and the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, among others. He has published over 40 books. In addition to his audiovisual research, he has worked as a scriptwriter for films and television and, having a great grandfather of this etnic origin, has made studies of Gypsy and Flamenco culture.
