Julio Castedo

Has a degree in medicine from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid and is a specialist in neuroradiology. So far he has published an essay on film, 'Las cien mejores películas del siglo XX' (Jaguar, 2000), a book of short stories, ' La máscara de mi piel,' and another of short plays, 'Terencio', these last two published by Ediciones del Primor (2003 y 2005). He is also the author of the monograph 'Buen uso del lenguaje en los textos científicos y los informes clínicos' (Fundación HM, 2007), as well as numerous scientific articles published in national and international journals. He came out as a novelist with Apología de Venus (Efecto Violeta, 2008) and El jugador de ajedrez (Efecto Violeta, 2009), which won him praise from the critics.
