CONCHA LÓPEZ NARVÁEZ Y RAFAEL SALMERÓN LÓPEZ

Concha López Narváez was born in Seville in 1939. She studied Philosophy and Letters and has a graduate degree in American History. She has written numerous books, short stories and articles and has been awarded many prizes in the genre of children's literature, including: Premio Lazarillo, Premio de la CCEI, Lista de Honor del IBBY and the shortlist of the Premio Nacional. She has written over 50 books and is one of the best selling and most highly respected authors in the world of contemporary children's literature. She also earned international recognition as a candidate for the Andersen Prize. Rafael Salmerón was born in Madrid and has written several works in collaboration with his mother (Concha López Narváez). The illustrations are by Jordi Vila Delclòs, who has gained recognition in the field of contemporary children's literature for his professional output.
