Ramon Erra

Ramon Erra is a graduate in political science and gives classes at the Ateneu Barcelonés school of writing. He has contributed to El 9 Nou, La Marcha, El Tiempo, Presencia, El Temple, La Rella and El Avui. In 2001 he won the Rafael Cornellà prize for for a literary portrait of Bohumil Hrabal. His first published work was a youth novel, written with Jordi Martí, Operació gàbies buides (Operation Empty Cage, 2001). He is the author of the travel book A Bòsnia ens trobarem (We'll Meet in Bosnia, 2004). His first novel, Desfent el nus del mocador (Take the Knot out of the Handkerchief, 2008), which was awarded the QWERTY best new Catalan talent prize, was shortlisted for the Crexells prize and Salambó prize novels in Catalan.
