DAVID PEÑA (PUÑO)

A David Peña Toribio (Madrid, 1978), better known by the pen name Puño, has enjoyed drawing comic books since he was young and later studied Audiovisual Communication. He currently lives in Columbia, where he writes and works as an illustrator, graphic designer, photographer and comic book creator. He has contributed to advertising and the press. He was head of the digital publishing house Ediciones Peo and his work has been published in such comics as ¡como Argh!, Cretino, Lunático, El Manglar and Garabattage.He has been awarded a number of prizes, including the Third Premio de Animación Nontzeflash (2006), the First Premio de Fotografía Cinemad (2008), the Premio Internacional de Ilustración Fundación SM (2009) for his book ¡Ñam! and the Premio El Barco de Vapor (2018) for La niña invisible (The Invisible Girl).
