Eva Barro

Born in San Martín del Rey Aurelio (Asturias). She graduated with a degree in chemistry from the University of Oviedo and moved to Madrid, where she continues to live and work. She teaches secondary school maths and chemistry at La Inmaculada school. She has had a passion for literature since her childhood when she was an insatiable reader and an author in the making when she won the first of her literary prizes at the age of twelve in a competition run in her hometown by Librería Sol. Her many literary prizes include the Juan Valera Prize for 'Un álamo en otoño' ('A Poplar in Autumn'), third place in the Certamen de Novela Villa de Brunete for 'Bárbara', and the Alcorcón Premio Internacional de Novela Siglo XXI for 'En el tiempo manso' ('In the Quiet Time'), which have all been published by Bohodón Ediciones.
