Jon López de Viñaspre
Jon López de Viñsapre

Jon López de Viñaspre (Bilbao, 1970) has a short but bulky repertoire. Basque in origins and sentiment, he lives in Barcelona and writes in Catalan and Spanish. He has won several literary prizes and published the short novel The Flowers of Matmata (Pagès Editors, 2007), the story collection The Incredible Bullet Man (Palamedes Editorial, 2013) The Benasperi Clan (Palamedes Editorial, 2013), and the short novel The Bad Footprint (Documenta Balear, 2015). He has been an international observer in Nicaragua, he has worked in Bolivia, and he has lived as part of the indigenous communities Emberá Chamí in Colombia and become familiar with the reality in Latin America. The Son of Mama Dana is his first full-length novel and was published in 2020 in Venezuela (Fundación Editorial El Perro y la Rana).
