Alba Flores Robla

Alba Flores Robla was born in Madrid in December 1992. At age nine she moved to León, where she still lives today. She graduated from the University of León with a degree in English language and works as a substitute English teacher in secondary schools. She self-published her first poetry book 'Tu hueco supraesternal' ('Your Suprasternal Notch') in 2017 and 'Autorregalo' ('Gift to Self') was published by Ediciones en Huida in June of the same year. She won the 71st Adonáis Poetry Prize in December 2017 for the poetry book 'Digan adiós a la muchacha' ('Say Goodbye to the Little Girl'), which also won the Ojo Crítico Poetry Prize in 2018. She has also contributed to various literary magazines such as 'Piedra del Molino', 'Anáfora' and 'El Fuego' and her work features in the 'Antología de las mejores poesías de amor en lengua española' ('Anthology of the Best Spanish Love Poetry') (2020, edited by Luis María Anson) and in 'Millenials' (2022), published by Alba Editorial.
