Bea Enríquez worked between 2005 and 2010 with the Professional Association of Illustrators of Madrid and represented them on the judging panel for the 2008 Lazarillo Prize. In 2008 and 2009 she organised Illustrators’ Exhibitions for the 22nd and 23rd years of the Madrid Children’s and Young Adult’s Book Fair. But then after years away from illustration herself she returned with a passion, to produce this book. Enríquez firmly believes in her work and in sharing her ideas through words and illustrations, or as in this case, through both. Even though she is a fish out of water she has always needed to be within reach of it.
