Núria Pradas

Núria Pradas was born in Barcelona in 1954. She studied Catalan Language and Literature and began her literary career writing plays for the theatre. She published her first book in 1995 and has since had more than forty books published, and worked with numerous publishing houses. Among her books are Lior (Cruïlla, 1995) and Un estiu amb l'Anna (Cruïlla, 1996) which have taken her all around Catalunya and the Balearic Islands, visiting schools and talking to young students. We should also mention the Aunt Adela series (La tieta Adela a Nova York, Posa una tieta Adela a la teva vida . . ) aimed at boys and girls from eight upwards and which has enjoyed great popularity among this readership. Her most recent publications include the Great Journeys trilogy published by Bambú (Heka, Radio and Koknom), published in Catalan and Castilian.
