Jesús Marchamalo (b. Madrid, 1960) is a writer and journalist developed his career in large part on National Spanish Radio and Spanish Television, obtaining awards such as the Icarus Prize, the Montecarlo Prize and the Miguel Delibes National Journalism Prize. He is the author of more than a dozen books, among them La tienda de palabras (The Word Store), Tocar los libros (Touch the Books), Las bibliotecas perdidas (Lost Libraries) and Los reinos de papel (The Paper Kingdoms). For Nórdica he has published, along with Antonio Santos, Retrato de Baroja con abrigo (Portrait of Baroja in a Coat), Kafka con sombrero (Kafka’s Hat), Pessoa, gafas y pajarita (Pessoa: Glasses and a Bow Tie), and El bolso de Blixen (Blixen’s Bag).
