Margarita del Mazo likes to tell stories, both verbally and in writing. And there are twenty-three stories that she has not been able to stop telling, and that have been translated into up to twelve languages. Some of her works have been the recipients of such prestigious literary awards such as the Lazarillo Prize for Illustrated Books and the Illustrated Book Prize by the Booksellers Guild of Madrid. In addition, she has visited the bilingual schools of Chicago. She teaches workshops in storytelling, creative writing, how to promote reading, and drama. She has collaborated, and continues to collaborate, with institutions such as the Cervantes Institute, Casa del Lector, Museo ABC, etc.
