Young journalist Joan Ballester travels to Brussels to cover an uninteresting matter of protocol concerning the European institutions; the visit allows him to take a few days away from various emotional and family issues he doesn’t to deal with. However, in the capital of Europe he learns of the imminent approval of a trade agreement that will be fatally damaging to Valencian orange farmers. A sceptical but passionate journalist, Ballester has got wind of this and decides to stay on in Brussels to find out who stands to benefit from the agreement. Between Brussels and Strasbourg, beneath almost constant rain, Joan enters the cesspit of politics, full of hypocrisy and hidden violence and starring implacable lobbyists. And where too much curiosity can be dangerous.
