After a mishap at the zoo years ago, Dani stopped speaking. With the hope that it will help him recover his speech, his family decide to go on a safari to Africa. Soon after they arrive a series of events mean that Dani find himself alone and helpless in the African savannah. A female chimp, Jupiter, adopts Dani as her son and opens the doors to a new life with his new chimp family - with whom Dani is able to feel and communicate more comfortably than in human society.
