Nico is a very young spy who, thanks to a mysterious magical encyclopaedia, and accompanied by his friend Mega, is able to have exciting adventures in different eras such as the Golden Age (where they join Cervantes at the Battle of Lepanto!). Action, adventures and a lot of humour (some of Nico and Mega's conversations are absolutely hilarious), set in real historical eras with accurate dates and facts and post-scripts that give the reader historical context to help them gain an idea of what life was like in those times. The magical encyclopaedia sends Nico to "spy on" Cervantes, and what an adventure they have following the writer! Nico and his friend Mega take part in the great Battle of Lepanto, escape captivity in Algeria, go for a ride with Don Quijote and Sancho Panza, are pelted with rotten tomatoes on stage at the theatre... The life of a "knight errant" is highly intense and enjoyable life!
