SYNOPSIS

Adelaida García Morales is one of the most mysterious figures in recent culture. The celebrity she gained through her books The South (adapted by Víctor Erice for the famous film of the same name) and The Silence of the Sirens, made the silence in which the author chose to immerse herself all the more ominous. When she died in 2014 her death went lqrgely ignored. The Last Days of Adelaida García Morales is a fictional work of the days preceding her death. Shortly before, she had gone to the local council to ask for 50€ to visit her son in Madrid, and inspired by this fact, Navarro’s novel intertwines two stories to create an intense and singular narrative that touches on false documentary
