SYNOPSIS

Alicia is a young supply teacher who has to move with her three-year-old daughter to the the capital of La Mancha to teach in a school for a few months. In her home town, she leaves behind her husband and a satisfactory, stable life that could almost be classified as happy. In Toledo she stays in the house of her aunt, Lara, who has a secret as dreadful as only domestic secrets can be. One day, Alicia meets a teenager, Marta, who is being bullied by her classmates. That meeting changes Alicia for ever: she meets Marcos, a policeman in the city, who turns all her plans upside down, and with whom she is drawn into an unexpected relationship, as passionate and romantic as it is desperate and uncertain.
