SYNOPSIS

La séptima cuerda (‘The Seventh Chord‘) is a novel about flamenco which recounts the challenges faced by a young guitarist in his quest to master this complex art. With forewords by Eva Yerbabuena, Rocío Márquez and Vicente Amigo, we are drawn into the search for the spirit of flamenco alongside characters including Estrella Morente, Carmen Linares, Javier Barón, Arcángel and many other artists who will help us gain a better understanding of this music which originated over a thousand years ago.  Each chapter is accompanied by illustrations by Patricio Hidalgo and begins with the lyrics to a flamenco piece. From the third edition onward, QR codes allow the reader to listen to the pieces, making this novel into an educational resource where fiction and reality meet.
