SYNOPSIS

The narrative begins with the discovery of a body in the swamp in Olba. The protagonist, Esteban, has been forced to close the furniture shop he owned, leaving his workers jobless and on the dole. As he takes care of his father, who is terminally ill, Esteban looks into the reasons for a downfall he takes on in his duel role as victim and perpetrator, and among the ruins of which we find the values that have governed a society, a world and a time. Well-being and its inseparable opposite, greed and false projects, turned into materials for demolition. The mirror of Esteban's life, in his own way a man without characteristics, reflect an image made up of broken dreams and lost hope. Nothing has escaped this voraciousness. Love, family, friendship and social codes formed part, too, of the menu of this banquet of a few.
