A graphic novel influenced by Todd Solondz’s films and Daniel Clowes’ comic books. Adolescence is hell. Becky knows it and suffers it daily in her own flesh. In school, she doesn't pass a single class and she is bullied; at home, her parents are in the process of separating, and home life is all yelling. She hates the system, the whole world, and she just wants to disappear. Until one day she discovers a Pussy Riot video; she buys a ski mask and becomes Becky Riot. Masked, graffiti spray in hand, she seeks to hide anxiety, pimples, virginity, and loneliness. “Homer Simpson is the father figure our whole generation shares. I have learned more from him than from my own father,” utters a skeptical, cynical Becky, who depends on her only friend, who is as much a misfit as she is, to make it through every difficult day.
