In July 1668 the city of Portobelo, the port of departure for all the treasures of America headed to Spain, was captured by the corsair Henry Morgan. What none of his men expected to find in an abandoned inn was the tortured cadaver of a Spaniard and documents that suggested the existence of a hidden treasure in Panama City. From that moment on, a group of pirates, led by Morgan himself, will do the impossible to try to capture "Noble Panama City." A judge and his scribe are charged with investigating the facts. An unexpected witness will lead them on the trail of a sinister plan full of crimes, treachery and corruption. Pirates, judges, friars, prostitutes, ruffians, murderers, slaves and runaways are all marionettes in a game where life is cheap and Panama City will be the price to be paid for solving a murder in Portobelo.
