VIOLETA MONREAL

Violeta Monreal was born in Oviedo and began her career in illustration following a Fine Arts Degree. She travelled to New York where she worked with the UN as an illustrator for various projects. In addition to her work as an illustrator and short story writer, she works as a conference speaker specialising in children's drawing. Some of her books have been published in the United States, Japan, Korea, France, Portugal, Italy, Greece and various Latin American countries as well as in Spain. Violeta has the hands of a fairy and the heart of a little girl. Spirits, witches and dragons spring from her suitcase and her hands in an incredible outpouring of imagination and skill. She listens to her drawings a lot, as they are very bossy.
