Salvador Vendrell Grau

Salvador Vendrell has combined his work as a teacher at the Institut Joan Fuster in Sueca with that of a columnist and writer. He won the City of Sagunt Narrative Award 2013 with the novel Quan truquen de matinada [When they call at dawn] (2014). He has worked as a columnist for the newspaper Levante-EMV since 2002, and has published two collections of these columns in the books Columnes de paper [Paper Columns] (2011) and Els dimonis que dicten [The Demons that Dictate] (2016). He has adapted classics to contemporary language such as Curial i Güelfa [Curial and Güelfa] (1993) and Espill [Mirror/ (2016); and published the anthology Joan Fuster per a joves [Joan Fuster for young readers] (2017). In the field of illustrated children's books, he has published, together with Oreto Cruz, Tirant lo Blanc per a infants [Tirant the White for children] (2017).
