Rocio Bonilla (Barcelona, 1970) has a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and has worked as a designer, painter, and teacher. Currently, she spends most of her time illustrating books and painting children's murals. As the mother of three she is continuously fascinated by the unique and extraordinary universes children create, as well as their keenness and generosity in sharing them with others. The picture book, "Cara de pájaro" (Bird Face) was her first solo project. In addition she is the author of the internationally successful "¿De qué color es un beso?" (What Colour is a Kiss) that has been translated into more than 20 languages and reached over 400,000 readers worldwide. She has also published several other titles including "La montaña de libros más alta del mundo" (The Highest Book Mountain in the Whole World), "¡Hermanos!" (Brothers and Sisters!) and "Abuelos, pirañas y otras historias" (Grandparents, piranhas, and other stories)... In total she has more than 50 books for children to her name, all of them highly successful and translated into several languages.
