PATRICK ROSAS

Patrick Rosas (Lima, 1947) has double Peruvian and British nationality. He attended a French school, the Recoleta School, and at nineteen, following a trip to Rio de Janeiro, he travelled to Europe for the first time. He lived in Czechoslovakia, Poland and France, where he took part in the events of May 1968. He returned to Peru in December 1968. He was Trotskyist militant. In 1976, following the publication of his first book, a collection of poems, Rosas travelled to Europe for the second time. He has lived in France since then. He worked as a journalist for Radio France Internationale until 2010. His literary work explores individuals' identity, including his own, which allows him to pry into the lives of his characters and interact with them.
