Miqui Otero

Miqui Otero (Barcelona, 1980) is a novelist and journalist. Currently he contributes to El País and El Confidencial, gives classes on literature and creative journalism at the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona and co-directs a season on international literature and music, Primera Persona, en the Centro de Cultura Contemporanea de Barcelona (CCCB). He has published the novels Hilo Musical (Background Music/Muzak) (Alpha Decay 2010, Nuevo Talento Fnac) and la capsula del tiempo, (Time Capsule) (Blackie Books, 2013) and has had work in anthologies such as Ultima temporada (Last Season) (Lengua de trapo, 2013) which encompasses the new generation of Spanish authors. His last published novel is Rayos (Blackie Books, March 2016) which has been described by critics as 'one of the greatest Barcelona novels' of recent years.
