Mateo Sancho
Mateo Sancho

Mateo Sancho Cardiel (Zaragoza, 1983) is a writer, journalist and sociologist. His adolescence was a rural one, but he faced the big city to spend six years in Madrid working in film journalism, and then moved to New York in 2013 to be a correspondent for Agencia Efe for two years. His writing career is driven by curiosity, and combines essays (The Asexual Revolution, 2012, finalist for the Anagrama Award), kitchen humour (Cook with Mateo, 2016-2018), and theatre (Anticlimax, which showed in Manhattan in 2018). He currently teaches sociology and film at New York City University and the Pratt Institute, and is finishing his PhD thesis on homosexuality and old age.
