Maria Rubio

María Rubio (Zaragoza, 1987) is a screenwriter and novelist. She studied Publicity and Public Relations and her work in the advertising industry has won her several awards. Without doubts, however, what she most enjoys is humour. Perhaps this is why she worked for Cartoon Network for a number of years, adapting series like Adventure Time (Hora de Aventuras) and Steven Universe and other popular cartoons for the Spanish audience. She is also behind Toony, the animated YouTuber who talks about cartoons and has more than 160,000 subscibers. All this led her to discover another of her great passions: writing for kids. At the moment she is writing a hilarious story collection for Planeta which will be ready in 2022.
