Maria Carme Roca

Maria Carme Roca is a historian and linguist. She has been a professional writer since 1997 and has published around fifty books. She writes for children, teenagers and adults. She has won various literary prizes. She received a White Raven honourable mention in 2004 for her young adult novel 'El faedor de mentides' ('The Lie Seller') (Editorial Barcanova), and in 2005 she won the Barcanova Prize for children's and young adult literature for 'Akanuu, l'arquer persa' ('Akanuu, the Persian Archer'). She has also published 'Dedica’m un poema encara que sigui teu' ('Dedicate a poem to me, even if it's still yours') with us.
