Manuel Marsol y Carmen Chica
Manuel Marsol y Carmen Chica

Manuel Marsol (Madrid, 1984) is one of the most interesting illustrators on the European scene at the moment. His illustrations for Yōkai won him the Premio Internacional de la Feria de Bolonia-Fundanción SM. In 2012 he did a postgraduate degree in children's illustration, and in 2014 was awarded the Premio Internacional de Álbum Ilustrado Edelvives for his first book, Ahab y la ballena blanca (Ahab and the White Whale), he won the V Catálogo Iberoamericano de ilustración prize and was selected to show his work at the Bologna Children's Book Fair (which he did for the second time in 2015). Carmen Chica (Murcia, 1985) graduated in Advertising and Public Relations, specialising in Creative Advertising. She has worked as a copywriter for such agencies as Publicis and Leo Burnett. In 2014 she began to study children's and young adult literature at the Madrid Writer's School. She presently combines creative advertising with literature.
