MANUEL MARSOL

Manuel Marsol (Madrid, 1984) is an illustrator who specialises in illustrated books and picture books. After graduating in Advertising and Audiovisual Communication, he was employed in advertising from 2009-2012 and his work was recognised in such festivals as El Sol and Cannes Lions. From 2010 to 2016 he divided his time between book illustration and animation for Tiger Stories. In Mexico, he has had exhibitions, given workshops and lectures for such bodies as CCEMx, FILIJ, CILELIJ (Mexico City), FIL (Guadalajara) and IAGO (Oaxaca). His work has also been published in such countries as China, Japan and South Korea. In 2017 he gave classes on picture book illustration in the One Year of the Madrid IED. In 2017 he was awarded the International Illustration Prize at the Bolonia-Fundación SM Book Fair, after being selected for the Mostra in four successive years.
