Josep Vila Miravent (Barcelona, 1962) is a specialist in the psychology of ageing and has a master’s in clinical gerontology from the University of Southern California (USC) and a master’s in family therapy from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona (UAB).

The three main focuses of his work are: the psychological care of affected people and their families, training and consultancy for healthcare centres, and university teaching.

He runs the family therapy and psychosocial projects programmes at the Fundació Alzheimer Catalunya, and is visiting professor at the department of evolutionary psychology at the Universidad de Barcelona (UB).
