José María Plaza

Born in Burgos, he has worked as a cultural correspondent for many years. In 1995 he was shortlisted for the Edebé prize for his first book, No es un crimen enamorarse, which appears in the honour list of the CCEI awards, and since then has published over 40 titles. Among these is Mi primer Quijote, a bestseller that was translated into Korean, Arabic, Chinese and Japanese. He has produced four poetry anthologies for children and teenagers, and currently devotes himself almost exclusively to writing, photography, travelling and visiting schools where children have read his books.
