Javier Pérez Andújar
Javier Pérez Andújar

Javier Pérez Andújar (Sant Adrià de Besòs, 1965) is a graduate in Hispanic Philology from the University of Barcelona. He is the author of Los principes valients [The Valient Princes] Milagro en Barcelona [Miracle in Barcelona (with photosgraps by Joan Guerrero) Catalanes todos [Catalans All] and Diccionario enciclopédico de la vieja escuela [Old School Encyclopaedic Dictionary]. He publishes in El País and contributes to the radio programme A vivir que son dos días (Cadena SER). He was also a member of the team of the television programmes Saló de lectura (Barcelona Televisió) and L'hora del lector (TV3). He has also collaborated with media such as El Periódico de Catalunya, the fanzine Mondo Brutto, Ajoblanco and the literary magazine Taifa (edited by José Batlló). For his features in the Catalan edition of El País he received the City of Barcelona Media Prize in 2014, and in 2016 he won the State Critics essay award for his Diccionario.
