David Jiménez Torres (Madrid, 1986). He has a PhD in Hispanic studies from the University of Cambridge. He has worked as a professor at universities in Britain and Spain is currently a post-doctoral researcher at the Complutense University, Madrid. He is the author of the novels 'Salter School' (2007) and 'Cambridge en mitad de la noche' ('Cambridge in the Middle of the Night') (2018) and the essays 'El país de la niebla' ('The Country of Mist') (2018) and '2017. La crisis que cambió España' ('2017; The Crisis that Changed Spain') (2021). He has also published the monograph 'Nuestro hombre en Londres. Ramiro de Maeztu y las relaciones angloespañolas' ('Our Man in London; Ramiro de Maeztu and Anglo-Spanish relations') (2020) and and edited the joint publication 'The Configuration of the Spanish Public Sphere' (2019). He has been a contributor to various media outlets and is currently a columnist for the daily paper 'El Mundo'.
