Carlos Zanón (Barcelona 1966) is a novelist, poet, lawyer, screenwriter, columnist, and literary critic. He published his first poems in the 1980's and to date has edited five volumes all of which have received great critical acclaim. His debut novel was "Nadie Ama a un Hombre Bueno" (Nobody Loves a Good Man) published in 2008. In 2009 he published "Tarde, Mal y Nunca" (Late, Bad, and Never), and in 2014, "Yo Fui Johnny Thunders" (I was Johnny Thunders), considered one of the best novels of that year by several newspapers. This was followed by a collection of short stories, "Marly Estaba Muerto" (Marly was dead, 2015) and a new novel, "Taxi" (2017) which were also well received critically. In 2018 he won the Conitinuarà Prize in recognition of his life's work. At present he is the director of the BCNegra Festival founded by Paco Camarasa.
