The plot develops in Egypt, a country that has fascinated the author since she was a child, with its mysteries, architectural marvels and especially its complex mythology. The author is interested in the invisibility of women in literary history and she explores this issue in her novel. The introverted Ada Kitab, together with Robin and Sun are the Booksearchers, a group of intrepid librarians who devote themselves to recovering valuable documents that have been stolen and sold on the black market. But they have never had such an important case as finding The Wings of Isis, the most important writings from the history of Ancient Egypt. The group is accompanied on its adventures in Cairo by an Egyptian price who was born three millennia ago.
