SYNOPSIS

What would a world be like where most children were taught via artificial intelligence and only a select few, the sons and daughters of the elite, got to meet actual teachers? This novel takes place in the final years of the twenty-first century in a potential future where only the privileged are taught by teachers.  In Mérida, near the old Roman theatre, a small company of classical actors fights to protect what makes us human. They invite Venecia, a teacher who has only met members of the elite, to break down the barrier between the two systems and give a lesson to Alcibíades, a young boy who is hungry to learn and has only ever been taught via computer. The lesson will transform both their futures, and perhaps the future of humanity itself...
