SYNOPSIS

We go on two journeys. One is happy: about a girl on a transatlantic liner where food and drink are plentiful, where there is dancing in the evenings, and where the sound of the waves helps you to sleep better. The other is harder and full of uncertainty. This one is Hanielle's journey with her mother and all their companions who put their lives on the line to get on board a flimsy little boat. One is going on holiday, the other is looking for a place to grow up in safety and peace. The illustrations tell the first story. The text and hidden illustrations that can only be seen using a special viewer included with the book are there to be discovered. At some point, both girls will meet and get to know each other.
