Zuriñe Aguirre

She was born and raised in Vitoria surrounded by wax paint, tempera, and colored pencils, and there she received a degree in Decoration. Years later she moved to France, where she studied Information Technology and Communication at the University of Toulouse Le Mirail. Fourteen years ago, she decided to become an illustrator, and specialized in the filed of Graphic Design and Illustration, with a postgraduate degree in Advanced Design and Print Production. She likes lights and shadows, colors that convey joy and serenity, playing ewith silence and noise in her illustrations, and the different challenged posed by each project. She has been published in Spain, Great Britain, South Korea, New Zealand, and the United States. In 2016 she won the award to the best poetry illustrations at BookILL Fest, Serbia. She has been selected for three consecutive years to the Sharjah International Book Fair, Arab Emirates.
