Montserrat Huguet is Professor of Contemporary History at the Carlos III University in Madrid. She earned her Doctorate at the University Complutense of Madrid with a dissertation on Contemporary International History and Relations. She has developed her teaching and research career at UC3M since the 1992 academic year. At this university she has occupied various administrative and academic posts and has supervised doctoral dissertations for both national and international researchers. She has also been fully engaged in teaching activities at this university for the past two decades, imparting classes in such subjects as History of the Present Time, History of the Current World, International History, History of Spain, History of Iberian America, and Contemporary Social and Political History, as well as in doctoral and master's degrees courses.
